Over the past several days, we have been closely monitoring the Cal-Wood Fire, in partnership with the Boulder Office of Emergency Management and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Firefighting crews have done an outstanding job containing the northern spread of the fire, but we know that wildfires can be unpredictable and we must remain vigilant and prepared for any changes to the fire’s activity. Out of an abundance of caution, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department has requested that we close our schools in Lyons to in-person learning for Tuesday and Wednesday, in the event the fire shifts direction, which may require additional evacuations.
Beginning Monday, October 5, we will be implementing a hybrid in-person learning schedule for all students who are not currently enrolled in the LaunchED program. Click here to learn more. Comenzando el lunes 5 de octubre, estaremos implementando un programa de aprendizaje híbrido en persona para todos los estudiantes que no estén inscritos actualmente en el programa LaunchED. St. Vrain’s Community Schools program provides a safe, structured and positive environment that extends school day learning and supports families in need of before- and after-school care. The program provides a balanced menu of educational, enrichment and recreational activities to promote student achievement and engagement. Late Start Days

Non School Days
While Burlington does not have Non School Days care available, the following program sites offer childcare on some non-student contact days but not on days that the district is closed, such as holidays and snow days. There are Longmont sites that do offer childcare on some non-student contact days but not on days that the district is closed, such as holidays and snow days. Students from Burlington are welcome to register for Non School Days care at any of the SVVSD sites. Details regarding sites will be available in September.
Summer programming information will be available in the spring through the district website at http://svvsd.org/schools/summer-school-camps-enrichment.
