Bio
I am so excited to join the Burlington team this year! I received my Master in Music Education with a concentration in ethnomusicology and a graduate certificate in Native American and Indigenous Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, and I earned my Bachelor Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in choral music from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. I am a proud member of the Choctaw Nation (Native American), and it is my passion to create an engaging, fun, and safe space for students to learn about all different kinds of music! I’ve taught secondary choir, general music, and rock band in Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma (general/elementary is definitely my favorite!). In addition to living all over the country, I lived in Paris, France for a semester, where I studied French language and culture at Sorbonne Université. In my free time, you’ll likely find me swimming laps, hiking in RMNP, skiing on the Ikon pass, reading all the books I can, and watching Disney movies.
