“I’m never going to become a teacher!” These were the words I told my mother (a former teacher) when I was growing up.
I was born right here in Longmont, where many wonderful teachers had a positive impact on my life. After studying Kinesiology and Applied Physiology at CU, I “joined the dark side” and became a teacher. My true calling found me.After receiving my teaching credential, I taught briefly in Boulder and then in San Francisco. But, my snowboard and graduate school brought me back to Colorado and to Burlington’s doorstep in 2003. In graduate school, I received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in mathematics. But, more importantly, I met my wife Shannon. Together, we have two children (8 and 11) and an active Colorado lifestyle.
I am currently a member of the district math leadership team and Burlington school leadership team.
