Jesse Sapir

Mr. Sapir grew up in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, which is a small town on the Hudson River, about 45 minutes north of New York City. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, earning his BA in sociology and his teaching credential. He later attended Colorado State University gaining a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, Renewal, and Change. In addition to his MA, Mr. Sapir attained his Colorado Principal Licensure. Mr. Sapir has been at Burlington since 2003, where he taught fifth grade for two years before making the transition to being a third-grade teacher. During his off-hours, Mr. Sapir enjoys spending time with his family, rock climbing, camping, Rubik's cubing, skiing, cooking pizza, and biking. What Mr. Sapir likes about his work: "I look forward to coming to work every day. I like that no two days are alike, and that I have the opportunity to impact so many people in a positive way." Mr. Sapir has these words for the students of Burlington: "I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it." -- Pablo Picasso
