Mrs. Cooper has been teaching Art for 11 years, all at Burlington. Mrs. Cooper grew up in Iowa and earned her BFA from Iowa State University. She earned her MA from the University of Northern Colorado and has been teaching at Burlington since 2003. Past jobs included working as an artist's assistant for two years and running the University of Northern Colorado's galleries for two years. Andy, Mrs. Cooper's husband, works as an engineer in Ball Aerospace. Their Siberian husky named Kenosha provides lots of entertainment. In addition to playing with Kenosha, Mrs. Cooper enjoys creating art, hiking, camping, skiing and running. What Mrs. Cooper likes about her work: "I love watching children grow as artists during their time in elementary school." Mrs. Cooper has these words for the students of Burlington: "The most exciting place to discover talent is in yourself."
