Health Requirements for Burlington Students
Colorado law requires children in school to have an immunization record on file and to have the required immunizations. Make sure your child has the required immunizations before school starts.

Health Tips
Cold and flu viruses can spread easily, especially as the weather gets colder and students spend more time indoors. Give your child a good foundation for optimal health by modeling and encouraging these practices in your household:
- Get a good night’s sleep, especially on school nights.
- Eat nutritious food.
- Drink water.
- Get plenty of exercise and fresh air. As long as the outside temperature is above freezing, bundle up and go outside anyway.
- Wash hands often with soap and water.
- Use tissues for runny noses and wash hands afterward.
- Cough in your sleeve or shirt rather than in your hands.

Towel Donations Appreciated
At the beginning of each school year, the health office collects kitchen or bath towels to be cut up for ice packs. Any color that doesn’t bleed (usually any color other than red!) is acceptable. Thank you.
